Man Hit and Injured by Vehicle on Near Fairfax Road Sunday
Bakersfield, CA (July 18, 2021) – A pedestrian suffered serious injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on State Route 58 Sunday evening, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Officials said multiple vehicles struck an individual on Highway 58. The collision took place just east of Fairfax Road in Bakersfield. At this time, the exact number of motorists involved in the wreck remained unclear.

Shortly after 9:45 p.m., emergency teams arrived at the crash site. Paramedics immediately rendered aid to the person found lying on the ground. According to the CHP dispatch, the pedestrian suffered major injuries from the collision.
No immediate information was available on the drivers involved in the crash.
Detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the pedestrian accident on State Route 58 in Bakersfield.
