Pedestrian Injured in Bakersfield Hit-and-Run Crash Chester Avenue and M Street
BAKERSFIELD, CA (February 4, 2022) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash near Chester Avenue and M Street in Bakersfield.
According to an article published by the Kern Golden Empire, the accident took place on Friday night. Officers reported the collision at around 9:45 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in the city of Bakersfield. The driver hit the victim at the intersection of South Chester Avenue and South M Street.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Southgate neighborhood. They found the person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the accident. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the area. Officers forced the corner of Chester Avenue and M Street to shut down following the collision.
The cause of the Bakersfield hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
