Boy, 13, Badly Injured in Bakersfield Hit-and-Run on Mountain Vista Drive
BAKERSFIELD, CA (October 22, 2021) – A teenage pedestrian was badly injured after a hit-and-run crash on Mountain Vista Drive in Bakersfield.
According to an article published by The Bakersfield Californian, the accident took place on Friday morning. Officers reported the collision at about 8:14 a.m.
Bakersfield police said the incident happened when an SUV struck a 13-year-old boy for an unknown reason. The male driver hit him at 4615 Mountain Vista Drive.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found teen hurt. He sustained moderate injuries as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then took the victim to a hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the condition of the wounded patient.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the man driving the car did not stop to render aid to the boy and and fled the area. They described the car as a dark-colored Ford Flex.
Officers forced a stretch of Mountain Vista Drive to shut down for a time following the crash. The cause of the Bakersfield hit-and-run is still under investigation.
