Teen Pedestrian Injured in Bakersfield Crash at Brown and California
BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 29, 2023) – A teen pedestrian was hospitalized after a crash at Brown Street and California Avenue in Bakersfield.
According to an article published by the Kern Golden Empire, the accident took place on Wednesday morning. Officers reported the collision on January 25 at around 8:30 a.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck a female pedestrian for an unknown reason in east Bakersfield. Police said the driver hit the teen at the intersection of Brown Street and East California Avenue.
Girl, 15, Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the 15-year-old girl hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the victim to a hospital for treatment of minor to moderate injuries. The report did not disclose her condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police did not mention if the motorist stopped or stayed at the site following the incident. Officers forced the area of Brown and California to shut down for a time after the accident.
The cause of the Bakersfield teen pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
