DUI Driver Baltazar Villanuevaramos, 34, Hits Stalled Car in Corona Crash
CORONA, CA (April 4, 2021) – Authorities detained Baltazar Villanuevaramos after a fatal DUI crash along the 91 Freeway in Corona.
The California Highway Patrol determined that the 34-year-old Moreno Valley man was under the influence when the wreck occurred on Sunday.
The incident happened on April 4 when Baltazar Villanuevaramos was driving a Camaro at about 67 mph east on the 91 Freeway in Corona.
At the same time, a Nissan was stalled in the eastbound lanes of the freeway, just west of Green River Road. CHP said Baltazar Villanuevaramos then failed to notice the Nissan in the roadway.

In the process, he struck the vehicle. According to The Orange County Register and My News LA, officers reported the accident shortly before 2:30 a.m.
The male driver of the Nissan pulled his female passenger from the car following the collision. He placed her on the ground and fled the area.
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded and pronounced the Anaheim woman dead at the scene. The coroner’s office identified her as 21-year-old Breann Alizaga.
Meanwhile, CHP arrested Villanuevaramos on suspicion of DUI. They added that the other motorist involved later returned to the crash site.
Authorities believed that he was also under the influence and arrested him on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run. The tragic Corona collision is still under investigation.
