Cyclist Killed in Collision Near Beardsley Street Tuesday
Barrio Logan, CA (June 22, 2022) – A 63-year-old man died following a bicycle accident that occurred on Harbor Drive Tuesday morning, the San Diego Union-Tribune News reported.
Our sources indicated a man riding a battery-assisted bicycle was traveling in the streets of Barrio Logan in San Diego. When the bicyclist approached the area near Harbor Drive and Beardsley Street, the man swerved into the left lane in an attempt to pass a box truck. According to the article published online, a Dodge Charger heading in the same direction struck the bicyclist during the maneuver.
Fatal Bicycle Accident on Harbor Drive in Barrio Logan
Shortly after 9:30 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics immediately rendered aid to the victim. Despite life-saving measures, the bicyclist sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Authorities only identified the deceased as a 63-year-old man.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the driver of the Dodge.
Detectives continue to investigate liability in the deadly collision on Harbor Drive in Barrio Logan.
