Driver Dies in Traffic Collision at Highway 138 and 2 Wednesday
Phelan, CA (January 22, 2022) – Barry Alan Absec, a 40-year-old man, suffered fatal injuries following a car accident that occurred in the area of State Route 138 and 2.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department reported a traffic crash took place at the crossing of Highway 138 and 2 Wednesday morning. At this time, the exact number of cars involved in the wreck and their description remained undisclosed.
Shortly after 6:19 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found one driver unconscious. Despite life-saving measures, the man sadly succumbed to his injuries and pronounced dead around 6:34 a.m. Authorities identified the fatal victim as Barry Alan Absec, of Chino.
Several factors surrounding the horrible crash remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the deadly accident on State Route 138 in Phelan.
