Bassett hit-and-run 605 Freeway Valley
1 Injured in Bassett Hit-and-Run Crash on 605 Freeway Near Valley Boulevard
BASSETT, CA (November 23, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured at least one person on the 605 Freeway near Valley Boulevard in Bassett.
The California Highway Patrol said the wreck took place on Monday afternoon. Officers reported the accident at about 2:19 p.m.
The incident happened on November 22 when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the Bassett area. They crashed on the southbound 605 Freeway, just south of Valley Boulevard.
CHP described one of the cars involved as a gray Hyundai Elantra and a gray Honda CRV. The Hyundai obtained front-end damage upon impact.
2 Cars Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel treated the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. The name of the wounded victim and their condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that a driver involved did not stop to help and then fled the area. Officers forced the southbound lanes of the 605 Freeway to shut down near Valley following the wreck.
The cause of the Bassett hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
