Pedestrian Hit and Injured by Vehicle at Clairemont and Rappahannok
Bay Park, CA (May 29, 2022) – A woman suffered serious injuries following a pedestrian accident that occurred in the area of Clairemont Drive and Rappahannok Avenue Thursday morning.
The San Diego Union-Tribune reported a vehicle struck a female party in Bay Park. Officials said the collision took place near the South Clairemont Recreation Center, just south of Clairemont High School and Marston Middle School.
Per local news source, the vehicle involved in the accident was a 2004 Ford F-150.
Woman Hospitalized After Accident in Bay Park
Emergency crews arrived at the location shortly after 7:50 a.m. Responding paramedics rendered aid to the woman found lying on the ground. Due to the serious condition of the victim, an ambulance transported her to a hospital for further treatment. Officers only identified the patient as a woman in her 60s.
The driver of the Ford, a 27-year-old man, appeared unharmed after the incident.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole morning. They continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up to the pedestrian accident at Clairemont Drive and Rappahannok Avenue.
