Child, 9, Seriously Injured in Bay Point Hit-and-Run on Chadwick Lane
BAY POINT, CA (September 1, 2021) – A child was seriously injured after a hit-and-run crash on Chadwick Lane in Bay Point.
According to an article published by the East County Today, the accident took place on Monday afternoon. Officers reported the collision at about 4:10 p.m.
The incident happened on August 30 when a vehicle struck a 9-year-old pedestrian within the Westwood Village community in Bay Point.
The driver hit the child for an unknown reason on Chadwick Lane. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.

They found the juvenile left suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then rushed the victim to a hospital for treatment.
Officials did not disclose the condition of the wounded party at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the child and fled the area.
They described the car as a gray or gold colored Dodge 4-door sedan. Officers forced a stretch of Chadwick Lane to close following the accident.
Authorities are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect who hurt the child in Bay Point. Anyone with information can call the Contra Costa CHP in Martinez at (925) 646-4980.
