Motorcyclist Injured in Crash on I-80 Freeway in Berkeley

BERKELEY, Calif. (April 17, 2024) — A motorcycle rider was injured in a car accident on the Interstate 80 Freeway, just east of Gilman Street in Berkeley, California.

The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 6:48 A.M. on Wednesday, April 17th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported the motorcyclist and a white Toyota Prius were involved in the collision in the westbound No. 1 lane of the I-80 Freeway.

The Berkeley Fire Department responded with paramedics and transported the motorcyclist to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Meanwhile, a tow truck removed the damaged motorcycle from the freeway and investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the accident on the 80 Freeway.
