Pedestrian Critically Injured in Berkeley Crash at Marin and Euclid Avenues
BERKELEY, CA (December 29, 2021) – A pedestrian was critically injured after a crash at Marin and Euclid Avenues in Berkeley.
According to an article published by The Berkeley Side, the accident took place earlier this month. Officers reported the collision in the afternoon of December 1.
The incident happened when a female pedestrian was crossing Marin Avenue at intersection with Euclid Avenue in Berkeley. At the same time, a Ford SUV was going west on Marin.
Police said for an unknown reason, the car then struck the 75-year-old Berkeley woman. The Ford hit her in the crosswalk at around 10 mph.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the victim down on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed her to a hospital and placed her in the ICU. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and her condition at this time.
Meanwhile, the 26-year-old Berkeley woman driving the SUV stopped after hitting the victim. She stayed at the site and cooperated with the officials.
Berkeley police determined that the driver failed to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk and was at fault. They forced the area of Marin and Euclid avenues to shut down following the collision.
The Berkeley pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
