5 Injured in Blythe Crash at Seeley Avenue and Defrain Boulevard
BLYTHE, CA (January 31, 2022) – Several were injured after a car crash at Seeley Avenue and Defrain Boulevard in Blythe.
The Riverside County Fire Department first logged the incident on Monday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 5:43 p.m.
A California Highway Patrol dispatch and Cal Fire said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed at the intersection of Seeley Avenue and Defrain Boulevard in Blythe.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found a total of five people hurt. Three of the victims sustained moderate to major injuries a result of the collision.
2 Vehicles Collide
A helicopter took them to a hospital for treatment. A ground ambulance then rushed a fourth patient for treatment of moderate injuries.
Medical personnel treated a fifth person who declined transport. The reports did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP mentioned that a vehicle ended up in a canal following the wreck. Officers forced the area of Seeley and Defrain to shut down after the accident.
The cause of the Blythe crash is still under investigation.
