1 Seriously Injured in Crash on State Route 78 Near Borrego Springs Road
BORREGO SPRINGS, CA (March 5, 2022) – At least one was seriously injured after a crash on State Route 78 in Borrego Springs
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place early Saturday. Officers reported the wreck at about 3:36 a.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Borrego Springs. They crashed on the westbound side of State Route 78.
2 Cars Collide
The incident log described the cars as a sedan and a Dodge 2500 pulling a fifth wheel. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. They took the patient to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the westbound lanes of State Route 78 to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Borrego Springs crash is still under investigation.
