Passenger Injured in Collision at Valencia Avenue and Santa Fe Road Monday
Brea, CA (May 24, 2021) – A woman suffered injuries following a suspected DUI car crash in the area of Valencia Avenue and Santa Fe Road Monday afternoon.
The Orange County Register News reported a Hyundai Sonata with two occupants was traveling on Valencia Avenue. When the vehicle approached the junction at Santa Fe Road, the Hyundai attempted to make a left turn onto the westbound side of Santa Fe. In the process, the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed.
Shortly after 4:20 p.m., emergency teams arrived at the location and found the Hyundai slammed into a tree. Responding paramedics immediate rendered aid to the female passenger with serious injuries. An ambulance reportedly rushed the patient to UC Irvine Medical Center for treatment.
DUI Suspect Arrested After Injury Car Crash in Brea, May 24
Investigators later determine the woman behind the wheel of the Hyundai was intoxicated at the time of the collision. Given that, police arrested and booked the motorist on suspicion of DUI.
Further investigation on the car crash in Brea is ongoing.
