1 Injured in Brea Hit-and-Run Crash on Southbound 57 Freeway

BREA, CA (June 12, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash along the 57 Freeway in Brea.

The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 12:49 p.m.

According to CHP, three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Brea. They crashed on the southbound 57 Freeway, just south of Lambert Road on-ramp.

The report log described the cars involved as a white Ford F-350 pickup, a black Lexus SUV and a silver Suburban sedan. The truck and the sedan came to a stop on the right hand shoulder upon impact.

Multiple Cars Collide Near Lambert Road

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene and found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then provided treatment to the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time.

Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the Lexus did not stop to render aid and fled the area. Officers forced the southbound lanes of the 57 Freeway to shut down following the collision.

Authorities are still searching for the suspect. The Brea hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
