2 Injured in Brentwood Crash on Vasco Road Near Marsh Creek Road
BRENTWOOD, CA (October 28, 2022) – A crash left two people injured on Vasco Road near Marsh Creek Road in Brentwood.
According to an article published by the East County Today, the accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:34 p.m.
The incident happened on October 24 when a maroon sedan was traveling at a high rate of speed north on Vasco Road in Brentwood. At the same time, a utility pickup truck was going south.
The California Highway Patrol said the sedan then passed vehicles near Marsh Creek Road and crossed the double yellow line. In the process, the car slammed head-on into the truck.
Speeding Driver Hits Truck Head-On
Firefighters soon arrived at the scene and freed at least one trapped occupant from the wreckage. The speeding motorist sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Paramedics then rushed the patient to a hospital and listed them in critical condition. Medical personnel took the driver of the pickup for treatment of minor to possible moderate injuries.
The report did not disclose the names of the two wounded parties. Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Vasco Road to shut down for a time following the wreck.
The cause of the Brentwood crash is still under investigation.
