Two Killed in Halloween Night Crash at 7th Street, L Street
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Nov. 1, 2021) – Brian Freriks, 30, of Elk Grove, and Ciara Navarro, 25, of Sacramento, died on Halloween night in a two-vehicle crash at 7th Street and L Street in Sacramento.
The traffic accident happened just after 8:21 p.m. on Oct. 31st, according to the KCRA News and CBS Sacramento. The names of the two who died are listed on the Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner website.
Four other people were injured in the collision at the Sacramento intersection, according to news reports.
It’s unknown at this time what led up to the two vehicles colliding at the intersection of 7th and L streets.
Deadly Sacramento Crash
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene where Brian Freriks died from severe injuries. Five other people were injured in the collision including Ciara Navarro. Paramedics transported Navarro and four others including two others with major injuries to the hospital. Sadly, Navarro later died at the hospital.
Meanwhile, police closed down the intersection at 7th and L streets for several hours following the wreck.
Finally, investigators seek to determine the cause of the fatal Sacramento crash and liability.
