Boy, 16, Hit and Injured by Truck at Highway 246 and Sycamore Drive Thursday
Buellton, CA (July 22, 2021) – A 16-year-old boy suffered injuries following a bicycle accident that occurred in the area of Highway 246 and Sycamore Drive.

According to the Noozhawk, the teenager was riding a mini bike in the streets of Buellton Thursday evening. When the bicyclist drove through the intersection of Highway 246 and Sycamore, he collided with a truck.
The force from the impact resulted in injuries to the minor.
Shortly after 7 p.m., emergency teams arrived at the location and rendered aid to the injured bicyclist. The article published online mentioned an America Medical Response ambulance transported the patient to the Santa Ynez Airport. Subsequently, a Calstar helicopter transferred the injured bicyclist to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
The name of the 16-year-old boy, and their condition at this time, remained undisclosed.
No immediate information was available on the truck operator.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine liability in the major bicycle accident in Buellton.
