Vehicle Strikes, Kills Man Near Orangethorpe Avenue
Buena Park, CA (December 25, 2022) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a deadly pedestrian accident that occurred on the Interstate 5 Freeway.
On Christmas day, a male party was struck by a car in the northbound side of I-5 near Orangethorpe Avenue. Preliminary investigation revealed the pedestrian attempted to cross the freeway from the shoulder to the center divider. While in the middle of the traffic lanes, a passing vehicle of unknown make and model. CHP logged the case around 4:26 a.m.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 5 in Buena Park
Emergency crews responded to the incident and immediately rendered aid to the victim. Sadly, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate liability in the fatal crash that happened on Interstate 5 in Buena Park.
