Burnett Livingston, 62, Injures Baby in Long Beach Hit-and-Run Crash
LONG BEACH, CA (June 11, 2021) – Authorities detained Burnett Livingston after a hit-and-run crash that injured a baby in Long Beach.
Police identified the 62-year-old Compton man as the suspect of the collision which occurred on Thursday morning.
The incident began when Burnett Livingston was driving an early-1990s model white Ford Explorer in the Long Beach area. At the same time, a mother was pushing her 7-month-old baby boy in a stroller through the crosswalk.
For an unknown reason, Burnett Livingston struck the stroller. Police said he hit the stroller at the intersection of Long Beach Boulevard and 67th Street.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded and found the infant who ended up hurt as a result of the crash. His mother did not sustain any wound following the accident.
Medical personnel rushed the baby to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. They listed him in stable condition.
The Press Telegram and NBC Los Angeles wrote that the crash took place on June 10 at about 11:29 a.m. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver did not stop to render aid to the child and then fled the scene.
Officers later located the SUV involved in the Lindbergh neighborhood. They soon arrested and booked Burnett Livingston into the Long Beach jail for felony hit-and-run.
