At Least 1 Killed in Collision on Redlands Freeway
Calimesa, CA (May 17, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a deadly traffic accident that occurred on Interstate 10, also known as Redlands Freeway.
Officials said two vehicles crashed into each other in the eastbound side of I-10 near Brookside Avenue in Calimesa. The CHP logged the case on May 16, Tuesday, around 11:52 a.m.
Fatal Traffic Accident in Calimesa
When rescue teams arrived at the site, they found a blue Toyota Tacoma and a green Chevrolet pickup truck with significant damages. Responding paramedics attended to all the occupants in both disabled vehicles. After the evaluation, paramedics sadly pronounced one person dead. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Several factors surrounding the unfortunate event remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the deadly accident that happened on Interstate 10 in Calimesa.
