1 Seriously Injured in Crash on Highway 101 Near Camarillo Springs Road
SALIDA, CA (February 19, 2022) – At least one was seriously injured after a crash on Highway 101 near Camarillo Springs Road in Camarillo.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Saturday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 5:53 p.m.
CHP said a small box truck and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason. They crashed on southbound Highway 101, just north of Camarillo Springs Road.
2 Vehicles Collide
The incident log added that one of the vehicles rolled over, went 50 feet off the road and into a ditch. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found one person who sustained from major injuries as a result of the collision. They then took the patient to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
CHP forced the southbound lanes of Highway 101 to shut down near Camarillo Springs following the wreck.
