Pedestrian Killed in Camarillo Crash at Las Posas Road and Temple Avenue
CAMARILLO, CA (May 2, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian at Las Posas Road and Temple Avenue in Camarillo.
According to The Ventura County Star and KVTA News, the tragic accident took place on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the collision at about 12:40 p.m.
The incident happened on April 29 when a car struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in the residential area of Camarillo.
The vehicle hit him at the intersection of Las Posas Road and Temple Avenue near the Camarillo Village Square shopping center.
Man, 86, Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found the 86-year-old Camarillo man down on the ground. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon rushed the victim to a hospital. where he died. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, deputies added that the driver stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the man. The cause of the fatal Camarillo pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the corner of Las Posas Road and Temple Avenue to shut down for a time following the incident.
