2-Vehicle Collision on State Route 1 Thursday
Cambria, CA (November 13, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a suspected hit-and-run crash that occurred on State Route Highway 1 on November 11.
Initial records indicated two vehicles collided in the area of SR-1 and Burton Drive Thursday afternoon. Officials described the cars involved in the wreck as a silver sedan and a white sedan.

Shortly after 5:30 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the location. First responders found only one car at the crash site. Per CHP log, the second driver fled the scene before police arrived.
Medical personnel rendered aid to all people left in the area. After they assessed the conditions of all possible victims, authorities confirmed at least one person sustained injuries as a result of the wreck. The name and age of the victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Further investigation on the hit-and-run crash on State Route 1 in Cambria is ongoing.
