2 Hospitalized After Rollover Collision on Interstate 8
El Cajon, CA (October 27, 2022) – Two people suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on the Interstate 8 Freeway early Thursday.
According to ABC10 News, two vehicles collided in the eastbound side of I-8 near El Cajon Boulevard. Earlier reports indicated the wreck involved a pickup truck, and black Mercedes-Benz sedan.
Rescue teams responded to the crash site shortly after 2:30 a.m. When they arrived, they found the sedan overturned and up an embankment. Authorities added the force from the impact also caused the truck to rollover and land upside down on the freeway lanes.
Major Injury Traffic Accident in El Cajon
Medical personnel rendered aid to one person found ejected, and lying on the ground. Because the victim was unconscious, paramedics rushed them to a hospital for treatment and further evaluation.
The article published online mentioned a second person was also taken to the hospital. Details on the names of people hurt, and their condition at this time have not been revealed thus far.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole morning. At this time, they continue to investigate the precise cause of the car crash that happened on Interstate 8 in El Cajon.
