Scooter Rider Injured in Hit-and-Run Collision on West 4th Street
Los Angeles, CA (December 14, 2021) – Police arrested 22-year-old Carlos Sanchez-Reyez in relation with a hit-and-run crash that occurred on West 4th Street.
On October 27, Carlos Sanchez-Reyez was behind the wheel of an allegedly stolen 2020 Chevrolet Spark traveling in the streets of downtown Los Angeles. When the Chevrolet Spark approached the intersection of 4th and South Main Street, the car collided into a woman riding a scooter.
According to My News LA, the force from the impact launched the female rider into the air. The article published online mentioned the woman landed head-first on the sidewalk. Responding paramedics rendered aid to the victim. Officials said medical personnel rushed the injured party to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Carlos Sanchez-Reyez Arrested in Los Angeles Car Crash
Meanwhile, our sources indicated Carlos Sanchez-Reyez fled the scene after the crash. Officers eventually found the suspect on December 12, Sunday. Police took the suspect into custody and booked him into the LAPD Metropolitan Detention Center.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
