CHP Motorcycle Officer Seriously Injured in Crash on Carmel Valley Road
CARMEL VALLEY, CA (March 30, 2021) – A CHP motorcycle officer was seriously injured after a crash along Carmel Valley Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Tuesday morning. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 10:30 a.m.
The incident began when a white Subaru Outback swerved out of its lane to turn into the community center in Carmel Valley. In the process, the car went into the lane of the CHP motorcycle officer.
Multi-Vehicle Collision Near Community Center
The report said the Subaru then collided with the motorcyclist at 65 Carmel Valley Road. Another vehicle became involved in the collision.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene. They found the motorcycle officer suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the hospital for treatment. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers forced the road to briefly shut down following the crash. Authorities are still determining the cause of the wreck.
