Carmen Romero Vidal, 23, of Bakersfield, ID’d by Kern County Coroner
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (Nov. 22, 2021) – Carmen Romero Vidal, 23, of Bakersfield, died early Friday in a collision on Stockdale Highway at Renfro Road in Bakersfield.
The deadly crash also left two people critically injured just after midnight on Nov. 19th when two vehicles collided due to unknown circumstances, according to Bakersfield news outlet KGET.
Bakersfield police reported the drivers of a red Honda Civic and another vehicle crashed on Stockdale Highway.

Responding firefighters and paramedics arrived at the scene to find three people who were in the Honda suffering from major injuries.
Paramedics rushed all three patients from the Honda including the driver to a hospital, but sadly Carmen Romero Vidal later died of her injuries. She was riding as a passenger in the Honda.
Meanwhile, police investigating the collision are seeking to determine if speed played a role in the incident. Authorities closed down Stockdale Highway and Renfro Road following the collision.
Finally, the fatal Bakersfield crash remains under investigation. Witnesses or anyone with information may contact the police at 661-327-7111.
