Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Carmichael Crash at Dewey Drive and Winding Way

CARMICHAEL, CA (December 29, 2021) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a crash at Dewey Drive and Winding Way in Carmichael.

The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Wednesday evening. According to their dispatch, officers reported the collision at about 5:54 p.m.

The incident happened when a black Nissan Murano struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Carmichael. The car hit the person at the intersection of Dewey Drive and Winding Way.

Victim Hit by Car

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Will Rogers Middle School. They found the victim who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision

Medical personnel then took the patient to the Mercy San Juan Medical Center for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.

Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim. Officers forced the area of Dewey Drive and Winding Way to shut down following the collision.

The cause of the Carmichael pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
