Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Carmichael Crash at Fair Oaks and California
CARMICHAEL, CA (February 13, 2022) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a crash at Fair Oaks Boulevard and California Avenue in Carmichael.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Sunday evening. Officers reported the collision at about 7:08 p.m.
The incident happened when a sedan struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Carmichael. The car hit the person at the intersection of Fair Oaks Boulevard and California Avenue.
Victim Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene in front of the Public Storage. They found the victim who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the accident.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the Mercy San Juan Medical Center for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the sedan stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the person. The sedan obtained major front-end damage due to the impact of the collision.
Officers forced the area of Fair Oaks and California to shut down for a time after the incident. The cause of the Carmichael pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
