Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Carmichael Crash at Van Alstine and Fair Oaks
CARMICHAEL, CA (February 15, 2022) – A crash seriously injured a pedestrian at Van Alstine Avenue and Fair Oaks Boulevard in Carmichael.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place late Tuesday night. Officers reported the collision shortly after 10 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Carmichael. The car hit the person at the intersection of Van Alstine Avenue and Fair Oaks Boulevard.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the victim who sustained major injuries as a result of the accident.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the Mercy San Juan Medical Center for treatment. The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the sedan stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the person. Officers forced the area of Van Alstine and Fair Oaks to shut down after the incident.
The cause of the Carmichael pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
