Pedestrian Injured in Carmichael Hit-and-Run at Manzanita and Fair Oaks
CARMICHAEL, CA (October 11, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured a pedestrian at Manzanita Avenue and Fair Oaks Boulevard in Carmichael.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Monday evening. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck shortly before 7:30 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Carmichael. The driver hit the person at the intersection of Manzanita Avenue and Fair Oaks Boulevard.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Carmichael Elementary School. They found the victim hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then treated the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid and fled the area. They added that the suspect returned to the site some time after.
Officers forced the intersection of Manzanita and Fair Oaks to close following the collision. The cause of the Carmichael hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
