Carol Bobo, 74, Badly Injured in Bakersfield Crash on Highway 58
BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 30, 2021) – Carol Bobo was badly injured after a car crash on Highway 58 near Mt Vernon Avenue in Bakersfield.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:41 p.m.
The incident happened when 74-year-old Carol Bobo was riding a vehicle which collided with another in the city Bakersfield. For an unknown reason, they crashed on westbound Highway 58.
2 Vehicles Collide
CHP said one of the cars involved, a gray SUV, ended up on a private property nearby. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene, just east of Mt Vernon Avenue.
Medical personnel then found Carol Bobo who sustained minor to moderate injuries as a result of the crash. They took the patient to the Kern Medical Center for treatment.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the westbound lanes of Highway 58 to shut down near Mt Vernon following the wreck. The cause of the Bakersfield crash is still under investigation.
