1 Seriously Injured in Carpinteria Motorcycle Crash on Highway 192
CARPINTERIA, CA (January 4, 2022) – At least one person was seriously injured after a motorcycle crash on Highway 192 in Carpinteria.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 12:12 p.m.
The incident happened when two motorcycle riders and a third vehicle collided in Carpinteria. The three crashed for an unknown reason on Highway 192, known as Foothill Road.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Cravens Lane. They found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the northbound lanes of Highway 192 to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Carpinteria crash is still under investigation.
