Casey Van Mersbergen, 37, Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near Lovekin Boulevard Sunday
Blythe, CA (June 14, 2021) – Casey Van Mersbergen, a 37-year-old man, died in a pedestrian accident that occurred late Sunday night on Interstate 10.
According to My News LA, an SUV traveling east on I-10 Freeway struck the man near Lovekin Boulevard. The horrible crash took place in Blythe at about 11:50 p.m.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident in Blythe, June 13
Responding medical personnel found the pedestrian lying on the ground. Paramedics reportedly performed life-saving measures to the victim but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and died about 20 minutes later. Authorities confirmed the identity of the deceased as Casey Van Mersbergen of El Mirage, Arizona.
Officials later described the car involved in the unfortunate event as a blue Ford SUV. The driver stayed in the area and cooperated with the investigation process.
Further investigation on the deadly pedestrian accident in Blythe is underway.
