Minor Injury Collision on Niles Canyon Road Saturday
Castro Valley, CA (September 10, 2021) – On September 4, Saturday, a suspected hit-and-run car crash occurred on State Route 84.
The California Highway Patrol group reported two vehicles collided on SR-84, also known as Niles Canyon Road. Initial records indicated the accident took place near the intersection at Palomares Road in Castro Valley.
Officials mentioned the incident involved a vehicle towing a UT trailer. Meanwhile, the make and model of the second vehicle involved in the collision remained unknown.

Shortly after 2 p.m., medical personnel arrived and rendered aid to all parties found at the scene. The CHP log confirmed at least one person suffered injuries as a result of the incident. Authorities continue to withhold the name of the victim, and the extent of their injuries pending confirmation.
Investigators later confirmed one driver fled the scene before police arrived. At this time, detectives continue to work to determine the identity and location of the hit-and-run suspect in the Castro Valley car crash.
