Charles Shacklock, 31, Fatal Victim in Car Crash on Highway 243
Banning, CA (May 11, 2021) – Charles Shacklock, a 31-year-old man, died following a traffic collision on State Route 243 on May 9, Sunday.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department reported Charles Shacklock was an occupant in a vehicle traveling on Highway 243 in Banning. In the area near Pine Cove, the solo-vehicle overturned for an unknown reason.
Initial records indicated the horrible crash took place at about 2:30 p.m.

When emergency teams arrived at the location, they found as many as four people with injuries. Paramedics reportedly performed life-saving measures to one person, but he sadly succumbed to their injuries and died. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department later identified the deceased as Charles Shacklock, of Lowellville, Ohio.
Authorities added three other occupants in the SUV sustained moderate to major injuries. Ambulances rushed the patients to hospitals for treatment.
Additional details on the unfortunate have not been revealed thus far. At this time, detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate exactly how and why the fatal car crash in Banning happened.
