1 Hospitalized After Collision on Highway 99 Tuesday
Chico, CA (May 26, 2021) – One person suffered injuries following a traffic accident on Highway 99 Tuesday afternoon, the Action News Now reported.
2-Car Accident in Chico, May 25
Officials said a vehicle traveling north on Highway 99 crashed at about 2:20 p.m. Preliminary investigation revealed the driver suffered a cardiac arrest and collided with another northbound automobile.
According to the article published online, the incident took place near East Avenue offramp.
Emergency teams arrived at the location shortly after the crash. Responding medical personnel rendered aid to all possible victims. Authorities mentioned the 68-year-old man, who suffered a cardiac emergency, was taken to the hospital for treatment of his medical condition and injuries sustained in the collision.
The occupants from the second car involved in the wreck possibly sustained injuries from the crash.
Further investigation on the car accident in Chico is underway.
