Minor Injury Collision on Highway 99 Near Eaton Road Wednesday
Chico, CA (March 2, 2022) – At least one person suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Highway 99 Wednesday.
The Action News Now published an article online reporting a Toyota RAV4 collided with a semi truck on SR-99 Chico. Preliminary investigation revealed the drivers merged into each other, leading to the crash.
Due to the force from the impact, the RAV4 ended up veering off the roadway. Officials said the vehicle came to a rest after crashing into the fence at the back of Almond Tree Mini Storage.
Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after 2 p.m. Per local news source, a female party in the RAV4 sustained minor injuries as a result of the wreck. A friend picked up the injured woman before paramedics arrived. Additional details on the victim have not been discussed thus far.
At this time, investigators continue to work to determine the precise cause of the traffic crash on Highway 99 in Chico.
