7 Children Injured in Fresno DUI Crash Near Cedar and Ashlan Avenues
FRESNO, CA (March 5, 2022) – Several children were hospitalized after a car crash near Cedar and Ashlan avenues in Fresno.
According to the FOX 26 News and ABC 30 News, the accident took place on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on March 4 shortly after 2 p.m.
Police said the incident happened when two vehicles collided. The two cars crashed near the intersection of Cedar and Ashlan avenues in the city of Fresno.
2 Cars Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found a total of seven children, ages 10 months to 10 years, who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed the victims to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The reports did not disclose the condition of the wounded patients at this time.
Meanwhile, police determined that a male driver was under the influence when he hit the other car. They soon arrested and booked him into the Fresno County Jail on suspicion of DUI and child endangerment.
Officers forced the area of Cedar and Ashlan avenues to shut down following the wreck. The Fresno crash is still under investigation.
