2 Dead After ATV Crash in La Sierra Hills Saturday
Riverside, CA (January 2, 2022) – Christopher Raahauge, and another person suffered fatal injuries following an off-road vehicle accident that occurred on Bentley Street on December 31.
According to the Press Enterprise, Raahauge was one of three occupants in an all-terrain vehicle driving around the La Sierra Hills area in Riverside. Preliminary investigation revealed the ATV struck a rock and overturned multiple times. Officials said the motor-vehicle crashed into a canyon and rolled down the side of a hill. The catastrophic incident took place in the 11300 block of Bentley Street.
Christopher Raahauge Killed in Riverside Off-Road Accident on Bentley Street
Rescue teams arrived at the location shortly after 2:40 a.m. First responders found two parties lifeless at the bottom of the canyon. Despite life-saving measures, the two occupants sadly succumbed to their injuries and died. The Riverside County coroner’s officer identified one fatal victim as 60-year-old Christopher Raahauge.
Meanwhile, the name of the second person killed in the collision remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Authorities added a third occupant was ejected during the crash. Per local news source, paramedics airlifted the injured party to Riverside Community Hospital for treatment.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the fatal accident on Bentley Street in Riverside happened.
