At Least 1 Badly Hurt in Collision on Highway 54 Tuesday
Chula Vista, CA (September 21, 2021) – A car accident that occurred Tuesday morning on State Route Highway 54 resulted in injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Earlier reports indicated two vehicles collided on the westbound lanes of SR-54, also known as S Bay Parkway. Officials identified the cars involved in the wreck as a red Honda Accord and a blue sedan.
CHP logged the incident shortly before 7 a.m.
When rescue teams arrived at the crash site, they found both vehicles disabled in the right-hand shoulder of the highway at National City Boulevard.

Medical personnel reportedly rendered aid to all possible victims in the collision. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person suffered major injuries as a result of the incident. An ambulance transported the patient to the hospital for treatment.
Additional details on the crash have not been discussed thus far. At this time, investigators continue to work to determine the precise cause of the car accident in Chula Vista.
