3 Injured in Chula Vista DUI Crash at Broadway and G Street
CHULA VISTA, CA (September 1, 2021) – Several were injured after a car plowed into a bar in Chula Vista DUI crash at Broadway and G Street.
According to an article published by the San Diego Union-Tribune, the accident took place on Wednesday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 8:20 p.m.
The incident began when a woman allegedly ran a red light at the intersection of Broadway and G Street in Chula Vista. In the process, she collided with another vehicle.
Police said her car continued on and crashed into The Manhattan. The business is a bar and cocktail lounge located on the southwest corner of the intersection.
DUI Driver Crashes Into Bar
Two patrons of the bar and the driver of the second car ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Paramedics treated them for the minor injuries they sustained in the accident.
Officials did not release the names of the wounded victims and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, the woman exited her vehicle following the wreck and argued with the bystanders.
Police detained and determined that she was under the influence at the time. They soon booked the motorist into jail on suspicion of DUI.
The Chula Vista DUI crash is still under investigation. Officers forced the area of the bar near Broadway and G Street to close after the collision.
