Pedestrian Injured in Chula Vista Crash at Proctor Valley and Coastal Hills
CHULA VISTA, CA (February 7, 2023) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after a crash at Proctor Valley Road and Coastal Hills Drive in Chula Vista.
According to a report posted by the 911 Video News, the accident took place late Tuesday morning. Officers responded to the collision on February 7 at about 11:16 a.m.
The incident happened when a female pedestrian was walking her dog in a Chula Vista crosswalk. She was walking west on Procter Valley Road at Coastal Hills Drive at that time.
A Mercedes SUV traveling east on Procter Valley then made a left turn onto Coastal Hills. In the process, the car struck the elderly woman.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and her condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers added that the female driver of the SUV stopped and stayed at the site following the incident. They affirmed that the dog was not hit in the accident.
Officials forced the area of Proctor Valley and Coastal Hills to shut down after the collision. The cause of the Chula Vista pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
