1 Seriously Injured in Clearlake Car Crash on Highway 20 Near Grizzly Spring
CLEARLAKE, CA (May 4, 2021) – A car crash on Highway 20 left at least one person seriously injured in Clearlake.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Tuesday night. Officers reported the wreck at around 8:11 p.m.
CHP said a red Toyota Tundra pickup truck and an SUV collided on Highway 20 in Clearlake. The two crashed, causing one to overturn onto its roof, near the Grizzly Spring.
Rollover Collision in Clearlake
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene. They found one individual who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of a broken leg. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP mentioned that a driver was seen speeding in the area prior to the wreck. They forced a portion of the highway to shut down following the Clearlake crash.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the collision.
