COACHELLA, Calif. (March 3, 2023) — A major injury Coachella crash happened Friday morning on Highway 86, just south of Dillon Road.
The two-vehicle collision occurred about 5:13 a.m. on March 3rd on State Route 86, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a gray Hyundai Santa Fe and a Chevrolet Silverado or Ford F-550 truck collided due to unknown circumstances. Several crates filled with oranges was spilled into the roadway during the accident.
The Hyundai suffered major front-end damage in the Coachella crash on Highway 86 and at least one person suffered major injuries.
Paramedics responded and transported the injured to Desert Regional Medical Center.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles from the roadway.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the Coachella crash on Highway 86.
