5 Injured in Coachella Crash Near Dillon Road and Highway 86
COACHELLA, CA (January 10, 2022) – Several were injured after a car crash near Dillon Road and Highway 86 in Coachella.
According to an article published by the KESQ News, the accident took place on Monday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 9:10 p.m.
The Riverside County Fire Department said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Coachella. They crashed on Dillon Road underneath the Highway 86 overpass.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found a total of five people who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
One of the victims sustained serious injuries following the incident. Cal Fire added that a helicopter took the patient to a hospital for treatment.
Another person suffered moderate injuries and three others survived with minor injuries. The report did not disclose the names of all the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Dillon Road and Highway 86 to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Coachella crash is still under investigation.
