Cody Rosado, 31, ID’d as Suspect in Santa Rosa DUI Crash on Sutton Place
SANTA ROSA, CA (August 26, 2022) – Authorities detained Cody Rosado after a DUI crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Santa Rosa.
The California Highway Patrol determined that the 31-year-old Santa Rosa man was under the influence of alcohol when the collision occurred on Friday.
The incident happened when Cody Rosado was driving a 1990 BMW on Sutton Place, just west of Standish Avenue in southwest Santa Rosa.
Drunk Driver Hits Pedestrian
CHP said he then struck a male pedestrian on a private property along Sutton. The Press Democrat wrote that the accident took place at about 4:40 a.m.
Paramedics arrived and found the 43-year-old Santa Rosa man who sustained a major injury as a result of the collision. They rushed him to the Santa Rosa Memorial hospital for treatment.
The report did not release the name of the wounded party and his condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP soon arrested and booked Cody Rosado into jail on suspicion of a felony DUI.
Officers forced a stretch of Sutton Place to shut down following the incident. The Santa Rosa DUI crash is still under investigation.
