Rider, 22, Dies in Collision Near Rumble Road Saturday
Stanislaus County, CA (January 18, 2022) – Cody Tornquist, a 22-year-old man, died following a traffic crash that occurred on McHenry Avenue on January 15, Saturday.
The Modesto Bee News reported Tornquist was riding a motorbike traveling north on McHenry. When the motorcyclist approached area near Rumble Road, he collided into the front right side of a Buick. Officials mentioned the car was make a left turn into a parking lot when the crash happened.
According to the article published online, the force from the impact ejected the rider from his motorcycle. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office confirmed the identity of the deceased as Cody Tornquist.
Authorities mentioned the driver of the Buick appeared unharmed after the incident.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate several factors surrounding the fatal crash on McHenry Avenue in Stanislaus County.
